The Vision: To build statistics and data science capacity in Nigeria by setting up a world class Laboratory that will stand the test of time and compete globally in providing cutting-edge statistical techniques through research, workshops and seminars.

Mission: To train students and data scientists to communicate and collaborate with non-statisticians and become collaborative statisticians. We also help Support newly trained collaborative statisticians to create and run their own statistical collaboration laboratory at their home University.

UNIPORT-LISA provides the following services:

• Training of students to become excellent collaborators and effective statistics communicators.

• Walk-in consultation for quick solution to statistical problems faced by any individual at any stage of his/her research project or thesis work.

• Offering short statistical courses to build and improve statistical literacy and skills.
