The Road Map of the Laboratory
After the establishment of an independent statistical institution which will be carrying out statistical consultancy services to generate revenue, the following will then be the road map of the Laboratory;
Expand LISA-Statistics Zimbabwe into all the ten provinces of Zimbabwe.
Generate resources for Lab activities through various activities which generate income under LISA.
Set aside dedicated staff who are responsible LISA activities since currently all LISA-Statistics Zimbabwe staff work as part time employees.
Vision
To establish a statistical system in Zimbabwe that capacitate statisticians and data scientists to transform statistical evidence into action for development.
Goal
To develop statistical analysis and data science capacity in all the ten provinces of Zimbabwe
Objectives of LISA-Statistics Zimbabwe
To educate the people of Zimbabwe about the importance of Statistics in decision making
To educate policy makers about the importance of official statistics in decision making
To lobby for more resources for the support of surveys which generate statistics for decision making
To have a functionary statistics laboratory in each of the 10 provinces
